Advice: Puppy names.?
I’m getting a Husky pup in a few weeks, and I have a HUGE list of names that I’ve put together that I want to choose from to find the right one. The puppy is male, but I don’t know his colors. I have all my preferred names, as well as their meanings and origins… Would you please read through a few of them and tell me (In like.. A list of the top 5 or something) Which ones you like?

In any normal situation, I would just let his name come to me. But seeing as I live with my mother… She will want to say he’s the ‘family dog’ and will want to name him herself. He has to have a name before he comes to us, or she’ll end up naming him after one of her dead mother’s ex-boyfriends. She’s done it before, and I can’t stand it. I want my dog to have a name that I picked, and not be named after someone my mom looked up to, or liked.

these names sound very good, original, and also they describe a husky’s behavior and personality. I also like japanese names such as Keritsu which means "protector of love", and i especially like Esuro which means "healing water." another good hebrew name would be Asalof, which means Guide.

I personally don’t pick a name off a list of pre-approved names to give my pet his title. I prefer to own the dog a few weeks, get to know his personality and then usually a name will just come to me out of thin air and it sticks. Most dog’s i’ve had earn their names through personality traits. They may not be super unique like the ones above, but they fit the dog and work with their personalities. Just like weird celeb baby names like Apple,and Cocoa. i prefer the originals like Mary or Michael.

I like them the best, they are cutue, unique and would suit a Husky.
I suggest you have him for a few days or even weeks before naming him. Try out different names, call him with the names, and match on to his personality.
